:? :? This is where I am at. I finally decided that I need to purchase something NOW! I even tossed around the idea of a HD unit but the more I read about it the more I think the answer (as some have advised) is the Phoenix. Now things get somewhat more confusing.

I will have the receiver in one room with my PC in another that I must connect together. Yes, I realize I need a router and I have one as I type, it is a Belkin wireless G. But obviously one router is like a one hand clap, not going toget the job done. Further, I am not even sure if the Belkin will work with a Phoenix.

So I need at least one additional router that will complement the one I have or two new something that can work together. Yes, I do need the computer connection if I want to watch weather broadcasts on IKS.

ANYBODY!! Any suggestions on my router quandary???

Hi Treelover,

The Phoenix is a nice receiver.
It is a few $$$ more then the solaris but it has a little better picture and is faster.

Cool--

Any advice about a modem/modems??? Obviously I will require one at the IRD plus one at the desktop. As I mentioned above, I have a Belkin wireless G, do you know if a pair of Belkis will work with the Phoenix??

Thanks--

treelover, you won't need another router. Look into using the powerline adapters. They work very well

You kind of answered your own question. The router you have is on the list of functioning routers for nfusion products. As far as why you think you would need another router, I have no idea. Your router is wireless. It also does not need to be next to one of your boxes unles you want it put it there. All you would need is a wireless access point of some sort near each box to run a Cat-5 cable to each box for an internet connection.
