Will I get all of the HD stuff or do I need to get the 1000.2 dish?

Thanks!

u may be able to pull it off, but i suggest getting a 1000. the 1000 is elliptical for a good reason and a 500 would require a weird skew to get close

if you have a dish 500 with extra port for third dish you dont need a 1000plus..just add the dish and point it at 129 or whatever your wanting
i would point it at bev thou...not vey many hd channels

Ain't gonna happen with any kind of premade LNB setup. Maybe if you had a do it yourself bracket with some funky LNB placements. Get the 1000.2, that's what it is made for.

The Daucer bracket does 91 110 119 129 for dish500 . they work ok but 91 Q is a little weak. I have tried them. A dish1000 or 1000.2 would be better as the others suggested.

I have to agree, as a friend and i went crazy for days, with special bought brackets and even tried home made ones, we did get it but as posted we had very low signal strength, went into a fta store and just went with 1000.2 and within an Hour Bam we finally did it,
So yes my friend, couple extra bucks for a very good Dish and way better reception as you want.. sorry dont we all want that...LOL

the only way i would recomend the 500 dish for 3 lnbs is if you run a pro+ lnb add a single pro lnb on a seprate dish and point it to desired satellite then you can hook the single lnb (dish) directly to the pro+ lnb its built in switch will control all 3 lnbs. trying to mount a 2rd lnb on a 500 can work but is a paine and the shape of the dish is not favorable for to pick up the third lnb .I agree go to a 1000.2 if you want a dish that picks up 3 lnbs example 110,119,and 129 .***( i have tested a dish 500 with 2 lnbs and a switch capable of picking up 100 and a second 118.7 and 119 had to adj frq. to accomadate) but this would not work for hd sats.hope this helps explain ;) p.s 110 and 119 have a few hd channels

If you are using a Dish 500 now and you do not want to spend to much by buying a bigger dish you could always use a single dish with an ECODA switch for your HD Sat. It is a very easy install.

Before the 100.2 was introduced I used this for a set up. Two (2) dish pro 500's double LNB's (dn)+(bev) connected to 21 switches (cheaper and had them on my truck), {I have four receivers connected with this set up, and have found this easier to trouble shoot if something goes wrong. By using 21 switches your trouble shooting your system is easier and cheaper then one combined switch. But that's just the way I like to do things when working for myself :D .} One dish single LNB for the 61.5) I am using the ecoda switch to the 119 with 22khz. on. It was easier and cheaper (for me). This set up allows you alot more freedom to set your antenna for the best possible L.O.S. If you live in an area that a triple antenna wont work because of obstructions of some sats this is the way to go as you can put all three of the antenna in different locations.
